  • What is Lynx Ledgers exactly?

    We're a professional bookkeeping firm in Massachusetts serving small Brazilian and Hispanic businesses across New England. We're NOT software or SaaS — we're human service using modern technology (Zoho Books).

  • What's the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

    Bookkeeping is day-to-day recording: logging transactions, reconciling accounts, generating reports. Accounting is analysis, interpretation and tax filing. We do bookkeeping — for advanced accounting (federal income tax, audits), we refer partner CPAs.

  • Who is Lynx Ledgers for?

    Small businesses with $50k to $5M/year revenue across the 6 New England states (MA, RI, CT, NH, ME, VT). Primarily Brazilian and Hispanic owners who want service in their language.

  • Do you serve outside New England?

    Our focus is the 6 states (MA, RI, CT, NH, ME, VT) because we know each one's tax nuances. If you're in another state, message us — we evaluate case by case.

Services & Scope

  • What's included in the monthly service?

    Depends on the plan. All plans include monthly bookkeeping, expense categorization, P&L, and Zoho Books. Higher plans add invoicing, A/P, A/R, job costing, CFO advisory. See the pricing page to compare feature by feature.

  • Do you file income tax (federal/personal)?

    No. Our scope is monthly bookkeeping and sales tax (state). For federal income tax (1120, 1120S, 1065) and personal (1040), we work with partner CPAs and Enrolled Agents who do the filing based on the books we keep organized.

  • Do you handle sales tax?

    Yes, on Lynx+ and Lynx Pro. We prepare and submit monthly or quarterly returns to the DOR of each state where you have nexus (MA, RI, CT, etc.).

  • Do you handle payroll?

    On Lynx+ and Lynx Pro we manage 1099 subcontractor payments via Bills. For W-2 payroll with 941/940/state UI, we use integration with Gusto or QuickBooks Payroll — included on Lynx Pro, case-by-case on Lynx+.

  • Can I sign up if I'm behind on bookkeeping?

    Yes. We do cleanup (retroactive organization) of late months as a one-off service, separate from the monthly fee. Then we keep you current. We don't judge — we solve.

Pricing & Payment

  • How much are the plans?

    Lynx $297/month · Lynx+ $597/month · Lynx Pro $897/month. No setup fee. No annual contract. What you see is what you pay — higher-than-standard volume goes through individual evaluation.

  • Can I switch plans later?

    Yes, any month. Let us know on WhatsApp, we adjust the following month. No change fee.

  • What's the cancellation policy?

    No contract, no penalty. You receive all your data in Excel/PDF format within 10 business days of the cancellation request.

  • How do I pay?

    Credit card, auto-debit, Zelle or wire. We charge the same day every month.

  • Is there a setup fee?

    No. Zoho Books setup and onboarding are included in the first month — you pay only the monthly fee.

Onboarding

  • How long does it take to get started?

    From "yes" to first report: 7–14 days on average. Depends on how much history needs organizing and how fast you share access (Zoho, bank, card).

  • What do you need from me?

    Read-only access to company banks and cards, last 3 months of statements, any 1099s or W-2s from the last 2 years, and a list of recurring vendors/subcontractors. We walk you through it all on WhatsApp.

  • I have QuickBooks. Can I migrate?

    Yes. We migrate from QuickBooks to Zoho Books without losing history. Process takes 3–5 business days depending on volume.

Security & Data

  • How do you protect my data?

    Zoho Books uses bank-grade encryption in transit and at rest. MFA on access. We never share client data with third parties. Compliant with CCPA (and GDPR where applicable).

  • Who owns the data?

    You do. If you cancel, we export everything in Excel/PDF within 10 business days. Zoho Books is your account — we just collaborate with permission.

  • What if there's a breach?

    Zoho has contractual commitment to notify within 72h. Our responsibility is keeping credentials secure (MFA, unique passwords, access review). Zero incidents to date.
